Abstract

Model order reduction is a method to reduce the order of a model. One of the simplest methods is called balanced truncation, which preserves some properties of the original model. In this work, we study model order reduction of continuous-time linear-time-invariant systems using balanced truncation methods. The method is applied to a simple example.
