Abstract

In touchscreen mobile game, there are various types of interaction between the user and the system. This research analyzes those types of interaction that provide the most comfortable user experience. The comfort parameter is defined based on how long the user plays the game and how high the score is. There are dependent and independent variables which are used in this research. The independent variables are the game controller and interface. The game controller provides the interaction between the user and the system, and interface provides the point of view that can also affect the user's interaction. The dependent variables are the playing time and user's enjoyment. Since the racing game can implement many kinds of game controller, the genre used in this research is racing. This research uses the one-way ANOVA to analyze the relation between user experience and game controller. The two-way ANOVA is also used to analyze the relation of both game controller and interface to the user experience. The contribution of this research is to analyze the user experience design based on the game controller and interface in 3D mobile racing game. This research is also expected to help the game developer to know the trend of game controller and interface for the 3D mobile racing game.
