Abstract

This newest public building in Malang is designed to support the development of creative industries. The new public building to be built in the Malang PDAM area requires a land use analysis to determine whether the land use is appropriate and what is the impact of site development in the area. Analysis of the suitability of building construction sites in Malang will use the Greenship New Building version 1.2 assessment. This study uses qualitative methods, through field observations and interviews with five construction experts to analyze the location accuracy for the development of this building. So that descriptive analysis is used to measure the accuracy of the site development criteria for this building. The dominant factors that support the site development criteria for this building are basic green areas, site selection, community accessibility, public transportation, bicycle facilities, and rainwater management. Meanwhile, site landscape and microclimatic factors do not get a value. The City Government of Malang needs to consider providing a landscape area in the form of vegetation that is free from park buildings with a minimum area of 40% of the total land area and designing the shape of the vegetation landscape on the main circulation path. pedestrians to provide thermal protection from solar radiation and protection from strong winds to optimize the proper development site assessment of this building. Through this research, an analysis of the suitability of the development site using the Greenship New Building version 1.2 assessment of this building can be used as a reference for assessing the feasibility of selecting land use and efforts to optimize land for other public buildings.
