Abstract
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) play a key position in economic development. One of the MSMEs technology innovations adaptations to achieve competitiveness in the global market is the implementation of social media, so it is important to identify antecedent factors related to the MSMEs social media implementation. Previous research indicated that the Technology-Organizational-Environment (TOE) structure has become a common model for examining different dimensions of IT development and discovering antecedent factors in the information system (IS) domain. In relation to social media implementation, the existence of Business Process Management (BPM) aims to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the MSMEs activities. The implementation of BPM is a complex process and requires many technical and non-technical aspects. This research is intended to define non-technical process that influence the MSMEs social media implementation. The study began by identifying the problem, reviewing the literature, and examining previous research gaps on the subject of this study. Findings from the literature are analyzed and synthesized. Result of this study is a proposed conceptual model that combines the TOE framework with the BPM non-technical process capabilities.
