N2 - The use of social software in BPM helps to overcome the problems of traditional BPM through the controlled engagement of external stakeholders to improve organizational performance. There are many types of social software, such as tags, social links, recommendation and reputation systems, blogs, and wikis. On the other hand, various literature states that social software in BPM is beneficial for organizations. However, the types of organizations that benefit from social software have not been investigated. In this paper, we conduct a systematic literature review to determine the use of social software in BPM and its implementation in specific organizations. The results of our structured literature review show that the implementation of social BPM is most widely used in types of organizations such as SMEs and Education, as well as large enterprises and non-profit organizations. The type of social software in BPM that is widely used is the social link. However, there is no evidence of the use of blogs yet. The implementation of social software in BPM is discussed further. The results of this paper can be used to guide for planning the implementation social software in BPM in future research.
