Abstract

Since 2021, the new Key Performance Indicator (KPI), has been a tool for measuring the development of universities in Indonesia. This is based on regulation number 3/M/2021 from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. XYZ University is one of the objects of KPI measurement every year. However, in the last 3 years, the KPI score of this university has only reached 1 out of 8 standard targets. Many factors influence the achievement of KPI target, one of which is the quality of IT governance at the university. This study aims to identify the condition of IT governance in supporting the achievement of KPI. This research method uses primary data. The researcher used a questionnaire adapted from COBIT 2019. The focus of measurement in this study is on seven governance components and the role of IT. The data collection results were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study show that IT governance at XYZ is at the determined level, with a score of 2.81 based on the COBIT 2019 maturity. In addition, the results of the study also show that the role of IT is currently still positioned as a support.
