N2 - Nowadays, almost all human task has been assisted by sophisticated technology, including technological developments in the field of real estate property or housing. The security system in housing estates must be optimized to prevent and protect from unwanted situations and conditions such as burglaries, home invasions, etc. Seeing this, not a few property developers are competing to offer housing by emphasizing their security system. One of the ways to tighten the security system is by installing a barrier gate at the entrance to the housing estate. To improve the security system, the authors make research innovation on the automated barrier gate using an android-based QR Code that can only be accessed by homeowners in the housing. Later, the portal will be integrated with existing data in the database and QR Code on the android application. The QR Code will be generated from each account of each registered member of the house owner, and each QR Code will be different from one another. The portal control system center uses the ATmega2S60 which receives data from the QR Code scanner and has been matched with the database. The system verifies the visitors with data matching using the absolute difference method. The result of GM66 QR Code Scanner functionality testing has an error value of 7.14% and with a total running time of the system is 13.6 seconds.
