Abstract
The issue of sustainability is currently a focus as global warming continues to increase, and ecological conditions are getting worse from time to time. One of them is related to the clean water crisis which is accompanied by the increasing demand for water and the population. Currently, more than 27 million Indonesians are experiencing a clean water crisis. Green building is a building with a sustainable concept, which can be an effective solution to provide benefits for the environment as well as for the building users themselves. The application of water conservation in the design of green buildings can be a solution for the problem of water. Cost efficiency remains a consideration when making investments, including investment in green building. In this study, a cost-benefit analysis was carried out on the proposed alternative to meet the water conservation category in green building. The proposed scenario consists of alternatives based on GREENSHIP for new buildings version 1.2 and DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 38 of 2012. The proposed alternatives consist of the installation of a water meter, the installation of water-saving sanitation, a water recycling system, and rainwater harvesting system. For additional landscape irrigation, there are sprinkler installations, digital timers, and solenoid valve type faucets for watering. The BCR value obtained is 1,065, with the costs consisting of initial costs, maintenance costs and the cost of using the water itself of Rp7.866.963.875.062,39, and the benefits obtained from direct water savings are Rp8.374.796.052.830,65.
