Abstract

Optimizing the production process by integrating costs is essential to consider. During the ongoing production process, the waste can affect a production system's effectiveness and efficiency and impact production costs. The purpose of this paper is to optimize production costs in the entire value stream by integrating production costs along the value stream, so it is called the cost integrated value stream (CI-VS). By mapping of the total cost losses due to waste that occur along the value stream, this research finds CI-VS approach increases production efficiency while maintaining product quality.
