Abstract

The study was aimed at evaluating the anticancer activity on the Cinachyrella sp on Hela, T47D and W1Dr Cell lines. The ethanolic extract was fractionated by using vacuum-liquid column chromatograph with stationery-phase silica-gel and mobile phase n-hexane; nhexane: ethylacetate (9;1; 8:2; 7:3; 6:4; 5:5; 4:6; 3:7; 2:8; 1:9 v/v); ethyl acetate; n-hexane: chloroform =1:1v/v); methanol. The percent viability of the cell lines was carried out by using colorimetric method. The cytotoxicity of Cinachyrella sp on T47D cell lines was evaluated by MTT assay. The research showed that ethanolic extract had an IC50 value of 897,809μg/mL on Hela cell line. Meanwhile, fraction 5 showed an IC50 value of 72,862μg/mL, higher than that of other fractions.
