Design of control system of needle spinneret and collector control for nanofiber morphology in electrospinning

Abstract

Design of a control system on an electrospinning system with controlled parameters between the speed of the spinneret needle and the rotational speed of the collector direction. This controller system is controlled by Arduino as a microcontroller. The tubular collector and the collector rotary speed regulator use the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) principle. Uses L293D driver and 12V DC motor to control the direction and rotational speed of the collectors. A4988 stepper motor and driver to control spinner needle speed and distance. Based on testing of the electrospinning system, it shows that it is capable of fabricating polymer fibers with a diameter of nanometer scale.
