Abstract

Currently, Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is considered as an alternative device to generate electrical power. In this study, the doctor blade deposition method is applied to make Titanium dioxide (TiO2) layer on a glass substrate consisting of Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCO). Meanwhile, organic dye material is coated on the TiO2 particles by using ultrasonic atomizer deposition method. The TCO attached by TiO2 layer coated with organic dyes, electrolytes, and carbon based counter electrode are arranged and characterized. The experimental result shows that the DSSC with organic dye of Syzygium Oleana leaf provides higher current and voltage characteristic. The effective absorption of light in DSSC with the organic dye is in blue light.
