Abstract
Composting still uses as the best way to reduce the volume and mass fraction of material in developing countries. This study aims to determine the specific energy of mixed waste decomposition in composting and create a linear equation based on mixed waste to power. Specific energy in units of W/kg is determined by dividing power density into mW/m2 units to delta waste mass in kg units. A linear equation is created by correlating the delta waste mass in kg units to power in W units. Power density was computed through the sighting of voltage and current divide to space area of anode whereas delta waste mass was calculated by observing the change of mixed waste mass during 23 days. The results show that the specific energy was the same trend with power density but in the different unit, and a linear equation made by the correlation of delta waste mass to power as follows: P = 8.05WM-2.56; where P: power in W units, WM: waste mass in kg units.
