title = "EdTech Investment: Optimism, Pessimism, and Uncertainty",
abstract = "EdTech (Educational Technology) is an example of information technology (IT) investment in education. The existence of EdTech is expected to be able to improve the quality of teaching and improve the learning process by utilizing various types of technological advances. However, it is known that factors can influence decision-makers (DM) to make an investment decision. Examples of such influences can be behavioral biases, available alternatives, and the environment during the investment process. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study is to present a conceptual model design regarding the alignment between behavioral and alternatives in decision making under conditions of uncertainty in EdTech investment through a systematic literature review. From the study results, it is known that optimism and pessimism can affect the investment process in EdTech. In addition, the alternatives provided based on the calculation of the decision under conditions of uncertainty also influence decision making. Therefore, the alternative that appears is adjusted to the ability of DM to choose the best option (optimistic approach) or make the best use of the option (pessimism approach).",
