Abstract

Orange (Citrus sinensis L.) is known for high content of vitamin C, and occupying the first rank in world of crops production. In vitro propagation technique is needed to fulfil high demands for commercial cultivation. This research method was used by adding various plant growth regulators that were in group of auxin and cytokinin for measuring some parameters such as length of the root, number of the roots, length of the stem and also number of leaves. The results from this study showed that 0.2 mg/l kinetin hormone had the most influential effect for root length (10.5 cm). MS½ without plant growth regulator gave the best medium for plant height (7 cm) and number of roots (5) but the highest number of leaves was affected by the combination of 0.5 BAP and 0.5 IAA that gave best result for leaves (13).
