Abstract

To fill user data through online-based forms may be prone to errors. To keep users from frustration, it is necessary to plan error management while at the designing phase and measuring phase of program. Some design guidelines can be used as a reference for such planning. Some of these design guidelines have similarities regarding error management, which is make the system to be able to detect, prevent, show warnings, and provide ways for correction when an error is occurred.Three attributes from ISO 25023 regarding user error protection consistent to the similarity of design guidelines as we mentioned before. There is a topic from the design guidelines similarities that have not been listed, which is to show a warning when an error occurs. In this paper we propose a set of parameters related to quality of warning message according to software developer preference and past researches in quality of warning message.
