N2 - The rate of population growth and building constructions which is increasing and growing rapidly will affect the tendency of electrical energy usage needs in a country that can also cause energy crisis. Energy crisis that would happen can trigger every community to think about energy conservation. Because of that, this final assignment experiment will lift a case about energy conservation in CDE mall building which is located in Surabaya to conduct the energy conservation. In this experiment, it is conducted by analyzing the lighting and cooling system on ground floor of CDE mall Surabaya. The lighting system analysis in every room compares to SNI 03-6197-2000 lighting standard which is used as a reference to analyze the lighting system. The next method is analyzing the cooling load to know about the amount of cooling load of a room using ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) reference. From the conducted research, it was obtained the results of comparison of lighting intensity, comparison of lighting power and total comparison of cooling load with the installed AHU capacity in every tenant on ground floor CDE mall Surabaya. Lighting system saving has been conducted after changing the lamps which is for 121351 kWh/year, so it can save Rp. 184,968,052 every year. And the total of cooling load reduction from all of the tenants on ground floor CDE mall Surabaya which was obtained after changing the double glass and lamps is for 917224.53 Btu/hr, so it can save for Rp. 1,943,698,698 every year.
