N2 - Food security remains a critical concern in Indonesia, prompting the need for adequate food availability nationwide. Maize, as a prominent staple crop, faces demand imbalances across the country. To address this issue, a system dynamics model is developed to analyze the dynamics of maize supply and demand in East Java. The model captures the non-linear and dynamic relationships inherent in maize production and consumption. Through a rigorous research methodology, this study presents a comprehensive system dynamics model that depicts the current state and dynamics of maize supply. The key findings shed light on the factors influencing maize availability in East Java and provide insights for policymakers to enhance food security. By utilizing a systems approach, this research contributes to the understanding of maize supply dynamics and supports the development of strategies to ensure sufficient food supply in the region.
