Abstract

This paper presents a Genetic Programming (GP) function representation of Fuzzy Polar Controller (FPC) applied to Volt/Hertz closed loop induction motor speed control. The induction motor is modeled in terms of d-q axis with synchronous frame associated with the stator excitation frequency. The system is modeled and simulated under MATLAB/Simulink environment. Performances of the GP function controller are analyzed and compared to the Fuzzy Polar Controller. The simulation results show that the GP function controller gives performance very close to Fuzzy Polar controller in transient and steady-state responses.
