N2 - This paper presents the implementation of a distributed consensus algorithm for wireless sensor network (WSN) on a hardware platform of NodeMCU ESP8266. This study uses the minimum consensus algorithm as a tool for distributed estimation problems in WSN. We have design, developed and tested the prototype nodes. Algorithms are written using C++ language compiler with the Arduino IDE. We did some adjustment to the original algorithm in order to be implemented on hardware that we use and do a test run. Based on the measurement results, the algorithm implemented on the nodes achieved the convergence as predicted by simulation. By implementing algorithms on hardware, we seek to add insight and knowledge of the algorithms used in WSN, real implementation of the algorithm on the hardware and the specifications of the hardware.
