Abstract
This paper discusses the simulation analysis power quality disturbances caused by integration PV system the electrical network of a coal mining conveyor owned by PT. Borneo Indobara. The impact PV generator interconnection results in reduction the quality power flowing network system due to the effect cloud cover, which reduces irradiance, and the operation of PV inverter system contributes decrease in power quality. Simulation and modeling conveyor network were performed using ETAP software with time domain load flow to determine difference in voltage drop at bus before and after occurrence of cloud cover by simulating a 5 second 30% reduction irradiance and 30% panel coverage due to cloud cover. The simulation results with a PV capacity of ±2MWp and a load on the conveyor network ±4.5MW show that the largest disturbance, current imbalance, occurs at step-up transformer PV system and voltage drop bus interconnected to the 20 kV grid network, causing flicker disturbances in transformer ranging from 1μ to 5μ with a simulation interval of 100ms and a voltage drop of approximately ±5%. The installation capacitor bank effectively reduces effect of power quality reduction caused by the PV system.
