N2 - Information technology has been change the function of car, it used not only as transportation systems but also as a power source for electronic devices such as cell phone and laptop. In general, the car allows supplying AC and DC power sources simultaneously by utilizing the power converter. The power converter is widely known as a source of harmonics. But until now monitoring the harmonics on the car is still less attractive topic for researchers. this paper will develope low cost harmonic analyzer, using common equipment. In this research, to detect harmonic is used hall-effect current sensor with high accuracy. As well as highspeed processors. The signals read by the current sensor is then processed using the Digital Fourier Transformation (DFT), to determine the distortion caused by harmonics. The observation is focus on Harmonic 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th, then calculated Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) by reference to the standard IEEE 519.
