Natural resources mapping based on Indonesia traditional instrument ontology

Abstract

Indonesia with a considerable number of cultural diversities has regional musical instruments which become one of the cultural heritage that must be preserved. Traditional Indonesia instruments have characteristics in each region. In addition influenced by cultural factors, climate, and the abundance of natural resources generated from each region in Indonesia. Traditional Indonesia instruments are mostly in nature and possess the uniqueness of every sound or sound produced. With the diversity of data processing and information is often done to map traditional Indonesian musical instruments with natural resources in Indonesia. Ontology as a data-based representation model is expected to produce information and knowledge related to the relationship between traditional Indonesian musical instruments and natural resources produced. The modelling of the ontology of traditional musical instruments is distinguished by the origin of the region, the way of play, the basic material or material, and the sound produced from the instrument. By testing model with Protege application by input query to map data of Indonesia natural resources based on the local musical instrument.
