Abstract
The need for power in Southeast Sulawesi is increasing day by day so that the utilization of renewable energy with low carbon emissions is increasing. This study aiming to presents feasibility study of increasing the use of renewable energy source in Southeast Sulawesi Grid by using optimizing software HOMER Pro. The software HOMER Pro is used as a tool to determine the most feasible combination of component considered in this study. The PV System and Wind Turbine can achieve above 90% renewable penetration, making them ideal for power plant development. The Grid- PV-BESS-Load simulation shows the highest potential, supplying 74,418,472 kWh/year with 99.5% system dominance. However, the economic evaluation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in this area is still a major factor, and further research is needed to assess their potential in the future.
