N2 - Over current relay application on indutry requires some setting parameters such as pick up current (IP), time dial setting (TDS), and operating time (top). There are some standards that stated the restrictions and formulations to determining those parameters. One of the problems is to determine the TDS on inverse relay (ANSI Code 51). Generally, the determination of TDS value is done by trial and error method, it is considered less effective so it is proposed a new method in determining TDS on real plant electrical system with radial topology system. Artificial Intelligent is used to determine TDS for protection relay and hopefully able to solve the problem in order to improve the effectiveness by considering the load constraint during optimization.
