Abstract

The lubricant industry is one industry that is expected to continue to experience growth. Increasingly intense competition makes companies compete to provide the best service for customers through the delivery of products on time at the lowest possible cost. Manufacturing company performance can be measured based on efficiency and effectiveness in the company's supply chain. An effective and efficient supply chain will produce competitive products and are ready to face global competition. Complex supply chains are regulated by maximizing the Net Present Value (NPV) of cash flows. NPV is influenced by investment costs and the company's supply chain. In this task, strategic planning of production capacity is carried out by designing neural networks to determine a prediction of lubricant demand for the next 10 years and optimizing the NPV resulting from strategic planning that has been carried out using genetic algorithm methods. The NPV value obtained after optimization is Rp. 726.982.256.617 for automatic equipment, Rp. 726.074.798.898 for semiautomatic equipment, and Rp. 721.871.555.447 for manual technology. In this planning, the value that greatly affects the NPV is the operational costs, investment and supply chain costs. In planning all recommended technologies have an NPV value of more than zero so the purchase of technology is recommended to be done, based on the results of the largest NPV the addition of automatic technology is recommended.
