Abstract
Stunting cases in Pacitan Regency in 2022 reached 22.77% this figure is a fairly high figure and exceeds the threshold set by WHO, which is as much as 20%. The results of our study in Pacitan Regency, the main factors causing stunting cases are poverty which makes a domino effect on other things, lack of nutritional intake in children and the existence of an early marriage culture in several regions. In the long run, stunting has the potential to slow down brain development which will then have an impact on growth retardation both physically and mentally. Stunting conditions are closely related to unhealthy environmental conditions such as the unavailability of clean water and proper sanitation facilities. Therefore, efforts were made to provide clean water facilities in 10 stunting locus villages through the Prototype program for clean water facilities. This program is carried out by lecturers, students, and village communities independently. The construction of this prototype of clean water facilities is expected to be able to open up community access to clean water so that the prevalence rate of stunting in Pacitan can be estimated.
