Abstract

Along with the development of 5G, there are several new waveform candidates, one of them is FBMC. Because FBMC is superior to OFDM in the field of spectral efficiency and robustness against ISI and ICI, FBMC is expected to be a system that can work better in various fields of technology, such as in V2V communication on VANET technology. The performance of V2V communication is affected by Doppler frequency which arises from the change of vehicle speed and the scatters around, that cause performance degradation. Additionally, the appearance of intrinsic interference in FBMC leads to performance degradation because it cannot withstand the Doppler frequency. This paper will analyze the effect of the range value variation of the Angle of Departure (AoD) and Angle of Arrival (AoA) of each path used in V2V channel simulation. The result shows that the FBMC system will have good performance through the V2V channel if the range value of AoD and AoA used is less than plus-minus 0.314 radians.
