Abstract
Digitization has emerged as a significant phenomenon driving innovation and change across various sectors by converting physical information into digital formats, which aids in enhancing operational efficiency, broadening information accessibility, and simplifying user interactions. As digitization transforms business operations and competitive landscapes, effective performance management becomes crucial for monitoring progress, refining strategies, and achieving sustainable growth. Despite the importance of digitization, previous studies have indicated a lack of standardized frameworks for evaluating its performance. This research aims to address this gap by employing bibliometric methods. Bibliometric methods are quantitative techniques used to measure and analyze scientific literature, enabling researchers to identify and analyze research topics comprehensively. The findings reveal that performance measurement in digital businesses predominantly utilizes models customized to individual company needs, with a preference for quantitative indicators. Key focus areas include operational management, innovation, and technology. Bibliographic coupling and co-citation analyses indicate significant relationships between studies, particularly around themes such as social media, business models, and big data. However, there is a lack of studies linking performance measurement with broader topics, suggesting opportunities for future research.
