Abstract

Photovoltaic is a technology that functions to convert solar radiation into electrical energy directly. Photovoltaics are usually packaged in a unit called a module. In a solar module consists of many solar cells that can be arranged in series or in parallel. Yet, there is a problem on the photovoltaic sizing, there are pollutions in the air that blocks the optimal irradiance going through the photovoltaic modules. This paper provide the accurate photovoltaic sizing by considering the air quality index and pollution level that affect the irradiance. From this paper, the results is the power to voltage characteristics will be decreased significantly with the increasing of air pollutant by measuring each percentage level of the dust pollutant. The characteristics is almost similar to linear functions for power, but significantly affects the voltage in constant increasing value of air pollutant.
