N2 - This paper aims to present what are the main approaches in predictive maintenance paradigm from selected literatures review. There are at least 10 predictive approaches in predictive maintenance literatures, 4 main approaches are knowledge-based models, physical models, data-driven models, and hybrid models. It was found that the data-driven approach is the most often used currently. Based on the same literatures surveyed, the first two of the predictive maintenance goals from literature were failure prediction and remaining useful life.
