The construction sector become one of the main industries responsible for climate change, and green building is a comprehensive model expected to minimize environmental impact. It can reduce energy consumption and give higher-value assets. On the other hand, green building is still challenging to realize due to higher costs and causing developers and investors a lack of interest. Green finance came as a finance tools focus on mitigating climate change and protecting the environment from an economic aspect. Recently, research on green finance and green building is growing rapidly, and many studies use different methods. This study aims to find out the research method used on green finance for green building with a literature review of 25 papers in reputable journals from 2014 to 2022. A mapping diagram is used for grouping research types and data sources into quadrants. The result of this study shows that the quantitative research method and secondary data sources were frequently used in previous research. Therefore, this result is expected to help future research for using the right method.
