Abstract
In this study, an analysis of the reliability of the structure of the 5500 DWT tanker was carried out under the influence of hogging and sagging loads with different wave heights. Reliability analysis was performed by the Monte Carlo method where the pressure experienced by the ship due to the condition of hogging and sagging by using the finite element method. The computation results show that an increase in wave height had a significant effect on increasing pressure on the ship structure. The lowest structural reliability occurs in hogging conditions with a wave height of 6 meters, where the level of reliability only reaches 90.25%.
