Abstract

Dust is a particle in the air which at certain concentrations can be harmful to human health. Therefore, in designing buildings, we need to consider forms that can reduce dust exposure. The design process, which uses a force-based framework, was carried out to design an apartment located in a very dusty industrial area. Shape exploration is done using simulation software. The process of exploring the basic form of an apartment with a courtyard type is realized by forming a surface that is easy to flow through by wind, namely by making a sloping surface, so that the wind easily removes dust, so it does not enter the room.
