Abstract
This study focuses on contributing to the current literature on technologies for sharing electronic health record (EHR) across healthcare systems, by presenting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of research from the past five years aiming to provide an overview of the technologies that have been implemented along with their advantages and limitations. Relevant articles were gathered from four databases (IEEE, Scopus, TandfOnline, and PubMed), with seven articles meeting the criteria. The review identifies blockchain and cloud as the primary technologies used and analyses their respective advantages and limitations in healthcare data sharing.
