Abstract

The simulation of rain attenuation, fade slope, and fade duration overview from 3 models i.e. AR (Autoregressive) model, SST (Synthetic Storm Technique) with East-West (E-W) orientation and South-North (S-N) orientation. The simulation uses the data of rainfall measurement in Surabaya during 3 months. The biggest value of the result of the simulation for attenuation and fade slope happens in AR model, Meanwhile the value of fade duration happens in SST E-W model. Worst condition or upper bound in planning millimeter-wave wireless network if we evaluate attenuation and fade slope are given by AR or SST S-N model, but if we evaluate fade duration SST E-W model gives the worst case.
