Abstract

In this study, simulation damping reactor installation as one of ferroresonance mitigation techniques is conducted. Damping reactor using the resistor elements are mounted on the primary side of the transformer. Current and voltage response obtained from simulation using ATP/EMTP software is used to analyze whether ferroresonance can be damped. The results show that ferroresonance can be damped by instaling of damping reactor.
