Abstract

The effects of V-shaped angle variation of CPS on the antenna characteristics have been investigated through simulation and experimental results. The dimensions of antenna are 120 mm x 62 mm x 1.6 mm using FR4 material with effective dielectric permittivity of 4.3. The proposed antennas structure is based on a dipole antenna which is configurated like V letter with some different angles. The rotations of the angles are limited from 0 to 90 degree rotation. A corresponding basic dipole antenna is represented by 90 degree. The total length of the proposed antennas is λ/2. We discovered several interesting characteristics on the HPBW and directivity compared with other results using λ as the total length of antennas. The result shows that when the angle increases, the HPBW of radiation pattern decreases and consequently the directivity also increases.
