Abstract

Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that allows users to interact with a simulated environment. VR has been used in a variety of fields, including education, training, and entertainment. Recent research has shown that VR can also be used to improve interpersonal communication and self-efficacy. This study intends to highlight the expansion of knowledge and the dissemination of research in the field of virtual reality and its influence on interpersonal communication. For this purpose, the research articles published in the Scopus database from 1993 to 2023, covering 30 years, have been taken to perform a bibliometric analysis. These studies suggest that VR can be a valuable tool for improving interpersonal communication and self-efficacy. VR can provide a safe and controlled environment for people to practice their skills. VR can also provide feedback and support that can help people improve their performance. As VR technology continues to develop, it is likely that VR will be used more and more to improve interpersonal communication and self-efficacy.
