N2 - The P2-type layered structure of Na2/3Fe1/2Mn1/2O2 (NFMO) has garnered interest because of its high capacity and extensive sodium ion transport. However, the secondary phase frequently arises during the synthesis process, resulting in diminished electronic conductivity, which impedes practical application. This study involved the synthesis of NFMO using the solid-state method at different calcination temperatures. The influence of calcination temperature on crystal structure, morphology, and electronic conductivity is thoroughly examined. The X-ray diffraction profile revealed that a calcination temperature of 900 °C eliminated the impurities. The SEM image verified that the particle size is 364 nm. Furthermore, the NFMO exhibits a remarkable electronic conductivity of 9.40 x 10-3 S.cm-1. Better material characterization and electronic conductivity are associated with the high-phase crystalline structure of NFMO, synthesized at high temperatures.
