Abstract

Steam power plant had already experienced many evaluations. Those evaluation were conducted to increase the performance of power plant, so by using the same fuel could obtain higher efficiency value of power plant system. The experiment was conducted by modeling the power plant with normal operation condition using Gate Cycle software. Power plant modeling was conducted in order to know the power, efficiency, heat rate on normal condition and extraction pressure variation. It was obtained gate cycle modeling result, by changing to larger extraction pressure causing decrease in power and heat rate, but an increase in efficiency on power plant system.
