Using Extended UTAUT2 Model to Determine Factors Influencing the Purchase Behavior of Visual Display Terminal Users for Gaming Purposes

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to correlate VDT features and specifications with the user's preference and its usage for gaming. An extended UTAUT2 model approach incorporating VDT has been utilized to analyze the factors using AMOS software. The response of 263 were collected and analyzed. Results has shown that Habit and Hedonic Motivation to have the most effect in the usage and intention to use of the monitor after having to purchase it. The conclusion to the study is that amongst the VDT features and specifications, Size, Display Input, and Aspect Ratio are found to be significant in the consumers' acceptance in the consumption of the technology.
