Abstract

Sasando is one of Indonesia traditional musical instruments. To play the Sasando, the player's fingers can pluck the strings. It is similar to play harp or Kecapi. This research aims to conserve the Indonesia traditional musical instrument Sasando. This research tries to develop a Virtual Sasando using Leap Motion Controller. The Virtual Sasando is Sasando, the traditional musical instrument, that is modeled into the virtual 3D object. The interaction between the user and the virtual 3D object of Sasando use the technology of Leap Motion Controller. Leap Motion Controller is a computer hardware sensor device that uses the hand and finger motions as input. In this research, we implement the fingers motion controller to provide the interaction with the virtual Sasando. This research also aims to explore the technology of Leap Motion Controller. And it is expected to introduce the Indonesia traditional musical instruments.
