title = "Wire-mesh sensor (WMS) application for water slope detection",
abstract = "Wire-mesh sensor for water slope detectioon along a pipe has been successfully fabricated. The wire mesh sensor has two sets of wire electrodes (16 × 16) that stretched along a cross-section of a pipe. The transmitter electrodes (16 wires) and the receiver electrodes (16 wires) were arranged like a mesh with the perpendicular to each other by a small axial separation between them. The experiment has been done using four variations of water slope namely 0, 45, 90, 135 and 180°. The result shows that wire mesh sensor responds to changes of water slope position. The water slope inside the pipe can be detected and analyzed with the color contour that displayed on the monitor. It shows that the capacitance distribution of the water that is analyzed, and the numerical data can be compared with color and bar scale beside the picture. The best image reconstruction is obtained at 0°, 90°, and 180° with image accuracy at 90%. While in slope 45° and 135° the reconstruction image gave image accuracy at 80%.",
